Refuse Removal: The City of Columbus has established neighborhood color codes for refuse collection. Our trash color code is blue. Refuse is collected on a rotating schedule tied to City holidays. Place household trash and garbage in the 90-gallon container provided for your address and move the container to the curb at the end of your driveway the evening before collection day. Please retrieve your empty container from the curb as soon as possible.

Yard Waste: Curbside yard waste removal typically occurs on Wednesdays in The Sanctuary. Please visit the City website for instructions on how to prepare yard waste for curbside removal.

Recycling: Our yard waste collection day will alternate with our recycling collection day—typically Wednesdays. Please retrieve your empty recycling containers from the curb as soon as possible.

Large Bulk Trash Items: Special arrangements must be made with the City to remove large items such as furniture, mattresses, etc. that will not fit in the 90-gallon containers. You can schedule bulk pick-up by contacting the City’s website or by calling (614) 645-3111. If you have large items that are still use-able, please consider donating them to a local charity such as the Salvation Army or the Mid-Ohio Furniture Bank.
